Hepacord is intended for the prevention of diseases and complications caused by disorders of detoxification function of the body.
The active components of the product promote the excretion of ammonia from the body.
L-ornithine-L-aspartate works through two key methods of ammonia detoxification: urea synthesis and glutamine synthesis. Urea is synthesized around portal hepatocytes, where ornithine acts as an activator of two enzymes: carbamoyltransferase and carbamoylphosphate synthetase, as well as a substrate for urea synthesis.
Glutamine is synthesized in surrounding venous hepatocytes, in particular, in pathological conditions, aspartate and dicarboxylate, including products of ornithine metabolism, are absorbed in cells and used there to bind ammonia in the form of lutamine.
Glutamate is an amino acid that binds ammonia. The amino acid activates intracellular glutamine metabolism.
Application method:
Dissolve the contents of 1 sachet in a glass of water and take up to 3 times a day during or after meals. The term of consumption is determined by the doctor.
Warning:
Hypersensitivity to L-ornithine-L-aspartate or to any of the excipients. Do not take by pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as children.
Consult a doctor before use. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Do not take in case of renal impairment (renal failure), at a creatinine level of 3 mg (mg) / 100 ml (ml).
Prolonged use can be harmful to teeth (caries development).
Excipients may cause allergic reactions. The use of high doses of the drug can cause an increase in the level of uric acid in the blood plasma, so it is necessary to control the level of urea in the blood plasma and urine. Do not use in patients with phenylketonuria.
Due to liver disease, the ability to drive or operate machinery may be impaired with the use of L-ornithine-L-aspartate, so this activity should be avoided during treatment.
